Our Story
Flowers for every kind of moment
Meet Mia Lawson
From Landscape Architecture to Flower Studio
Bloom & Stem started in 2019 when Mia Lawson swapped her landscape architecture career for a flower studio. The shop on Trafalgar Street is part showroom, part workshop — buckets of seasonal stems line the walls, and there's always something being arranged on the big oak table in the middle. Mia sources from Nelson growers whenever possible and designs by instinct, not formula. Every arrangement is one of a kind.
The Studio on Trafalgar Street
Part showroom, part workshop. Buckets of seasonal stems line the walls. The big oak table in the middle is where every arrangement comes together — scissors, twine, and whatever's freshest this week.
Drop in any time during opening hours to pick up a bunch, or sit with Mia and talk through your ideas for a wedding, event, or subscription.
