Our Story
Two friends, one very colourful salon
Suds & Paws started in 2019 when best friends Tia and Mel converted a tired Cuba Street shopfront into the most colourful pet salon in Wellington. They'd both worked at grooming chains and hated how rushed and stressful it was — for the animals and the humans. So they built a salon where every appointment gets proper time, nervous pets get extra treats, and nobody gets shouted at. The regulars are mostly dogs, but they've groomed everything from Persian cats to a very cooperative rabbit named Gerald.
